At 0940 fighting happened when Burma Army troops of an unknown battalion under LID 88 command ambushed troops from KIAs No.38 Battalion moving through Mu Bum between Hpawng Seng and Man Yang, leaving a KIA soldier injured in Muse township, northern Shan State.
